Cable chain cable – reliability in demanding conditions
This specialized cable, designed for use in cable chains, is characterized by exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors. It is ideal for use in mechanical engineering, robotics and anywhere requiring reliable operation in dynamic conditions. The cable construction ensures long service life and economical use.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction that guarantees high performance and safety. It consists of 10 copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.14 mm², insulated with polypropylene (PP). The conductors are twisted in parallel, which ensures optimal twist pitch and facilitates assembly. The whole is surrounded by a copper screen with an efficiency of 85%, which minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC). A durable outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, tearing, oil and UV radiation. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
Additionally, the cable is metered for easy dispensing and waste minimization. This makes installation faster and more efficient.
Applications and benefits
This cable is used primarily in:
- Mechanical engineering: ideal for powering moving parts of machines and equipment.
- Robotics: provides reliable connections in robotic applications.
- Industrial automation: will work in control and power supply systems for automation devices.
- Energy chains: specifically designed to operate in the harsh conditions prevailing in cable chains.
Benefits for the installer:
- Easy installation thanks to metering and flexible construction.
- High quality workmanship guarantees trouble-free installation and long-term operation.
- Shielding minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable device operation.
Benefits for the end user:
- Reliability and durability ensure long-term operation without failure.
- Resistance to external factors guarantees safe operation in difficult environmental conditions.
- Halogen-free increases fire safety.
The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU. The operating temperature range is from -30°C to +70°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +70°C (stationary). The rated voltage is 350 V for a cross-section of 0.14 mm².
