Cable chain wire – reliability in dynamic applications

This specialized wire, designed for cable chains, is distinguished by its exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors. It is ideal for demanding industrial environments, robotics, and in the production of machines and devices where reliable power transmission in motion is necessary. The wire's construction ensures a long service life and economical operation, even under medium mechanical stress.

Construction and properties

The S.TR.C-PUR 4x0.14 wire is characterized by an advanced construction providing optimal performance parameters. Made of high-quality stranded copper conductors covered with PP insulation, it guarantees good conductivity and flexibility. These conductors are twisted in parallel with an optimal twist pitch, and color markings facilitate identification. A highly effective (85%) copper screen minimizes electromagnetic interference, protecting sensitive devices from damage. The whole is wrapped in a special TMPU polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket, which provides exceptional resistance to abrasion, tearing, oil exposure, and UV radiation. The wire is halogen-free, increasing safety in the event of a fire.

Technical parameters and application

The wire has a rated voltage of 350 V and a conductor cross-section of 0.14 mm². It is designed to operate in a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +70°C (stationary). The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter for fixed installation. Thanks to these parameters, it is ideally suited for applications in dynamic systems, such as robotics or production machines with moving elements. Shielding ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and recommended bilateral contact of the copper braid with the clamps further improves this property.
