Cable chain cable – reliability in dynamic applications
This specialized cable, designed for use in cable chains, is distinguished by its exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors. The use of high-quality materials guarantees a long service life and trouble-free operation even in demanding industrial conditions. It is an ideal solution for installations in machines, robots and anywhere a reliable power transfer in motion is needed.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction that provides optimal performance in dynamic applications. Made of five copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.25 mm², insulated with polypropylene (PP), it ensures safe and efficient power transmission. Parallel twisted strands with an optimal twist pitch and wrapped with a textile foil minimize the risk of mechanical damage. A key element is the copper screen, which effectively protects against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in industrial environments exposed to interference. The whole is surrounded by a special polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket, providing resistance to abrasion, tearing, oils and UV radiation. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
- Exceptional flexibility: enables operation in dynamic applications, such as cable chains, without the risk of damage to the conductors.
- Resistance to external factors: the polyurethane outer jacket provides protection against abrasion, tearing, oils and UV radiation.
- Shielding: the copper screen minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring a stable signal transfer.
- Halogen-free: increases safety and reduces the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire.
- Wide operating temperature range: from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and -30°C to +70°C (flexible) allows the cable to be used in various environmental conditions.
- Long-term operation: solid construction and high-quality materials guarantee a long service life and reliability.
Applications and compliance with standards
The S.TR.C-PUR 5x0.25 cable is primarily used in the machine industry, robotics and the production of automation devices. It is ideal for flexible connections exposed to medium mechanical loads. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). This ensures its safety and compliance with applicable regulations. Remember to follow the rules for laying the cable when using it in energy chains – refer to the instructions before installation!
