Flexible cable for demanding applications

This flexible control cable with a polyurethane (PUR) jacket is designed for operation in harsh industrial environments. It features exceptional resistance to abrasion, tearing, and oils and coolants, making it an ideal choice for use in machinery, construction, rolling mills and steelworks. Its construction provides high flexibility, simplifying and accelerating installation, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

Construction and properties

The PURÖ-JZ-HF 4G16 cable has multi-strand copper conductors insulated with special TI2 PVC providing oil resistance and easy sliding. The conductors are black with white numbers for easy identification. A fleece braid reinforces the construction, and the outer polyurethane TMPU jacket guarantees high mechanical and chemical resistance. The cable is metered and available in gray (RAL 7001). The use of a yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors) increases safety.

Parameters and scope of applications

This cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +80°C continuously and from -20°C to +80°C during installation. The rated voltage is 500V, and the conductor cross-section is 16 mm². The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter for fixed installation. Thanks to its resistance to UV radiation, oxygen, ozone and hydrolysis, the cable can also be used in outdoor installations. It complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
