Flexible cable for demanding applications

This flexible control cable with a polyurethane (PUR) jacket is designed for operation in harsh industrial environments. It features high resistance to abrasion, tearing, and the action of oils and coolants, making it an ideal choice for machines, construction, rolling mills and other demanding environments. Its construction provides high flexibility, simplifying and accelerating installation, especially in energy chains.

Construction and properties

The PURÖ-JZ-HF 4G25 cable consists of four copper conductors with a cross-section of 25 mm², insulated with special TI2 PVC providing oil resistance and facilitating movement. The conductors are black with white numbers for easy identification. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor and a fleece braiding for reinforcement. The whole is surrounded by a durable, gray (RAL 7001) outer jacket made of polyurethane (TMPU). This makes the cable resistant to UV radiation, oxygen, ozone and hydrolysis. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance-free.

Applications and operating parameters

This cable is perfect for outdoor installations and in places exposed to intense mechanical stress. It can be used at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -20°C to +80°C during dynamic operation. The rated voltage is 500 V. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for dynamic operation and 4 x cable diameter for fixed laying. The cable complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-1 / DIN EN 50525-1 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
