Cable chain wire – reliability in dynamic applications
This specialized PUR wire is designed to operate in demanding conditions, particularly in cable chains. Its exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors make it an ideal choice for the machinery industry, robotics, and all types of equipment exposed to intense movements and loads. The wire's construction ensures a long service life and economical operation, minimizing downtime and costs associated with replacement.
Construction and properties
The wire stands out with its advanced construction, which guarantees high performance and safety. The core made of finely stranded copper wire (class 6 according to DIN VDE 0295) provides flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. PVC TI2 insulation (DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / EN 50363-3) protects against mechanical and electrical damage. Parallel twisted strands with an optimal twist pitch minimize the risk of signal interference. The whole is surrounded by a special TMPU polyurethane outer jacket (DIN VDE 0207-363-10-2 / EN 50363-10-2), which provides exceptional resistance to abrasion, tearing, oil exposure, and UV radiation. The wire is metered for easy installation and adaptation to specific needs.
Additionally, the wire is characterized by high resistance to:
- Oxygen and ozone
- Hydrolysis
- Microbes (conditionally)
- Hydraulic fluids
- Alkalies and lye
The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium, and substances that interfere with painting, making it environmentally friendly.
Operating parameters and compliance with standards
The wire is designed to operate in a wide temperature range:
- Flexibly: from -5°C to +70°C
- Stationary: from -40°C to +70°C
The rated voltage is 350 V, and the test voltage is 1500 V (breakdown voltage min. 3000 V). Insulation resistance is min. 20 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 5x cable diameter during flexible operation and 3x cable diameter for fixed installation. The wire meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 4.5 mm with a conductor cross-section of 0.34 mm². Available in gray (RAL 7001).
