Cable chain wire – reliability in harsh conditions

This special 3x0.25 PUR wire, designed for laying in cable chains, is an ideal solution for demanding industrial applications. It will work well in robotics, machines and everywhere where exceptional flexibility and durability are needed. Thanks to its construction based on twisted copper strands, this wire is characterized by high resistance to bending and long service life.

Construction and properties

The wire has been designed with extreme working conditions in mind. Its polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket provides resistance to abrasion, tearing and the action of oils. The insulation of the strands made of PVC TI2 further increases mechanical and electrical strength. The strands are twisted in parallel, which optimizes the twist pitch and ensures electrical stability. In addition, the wire is metered for easy installation and use.

Technical parameters and application

The wire has a nominal strand cross-section of 0.25 mm² and is designed to operate at a voltage of 350 V. The nominal bending radius is 5x cable diameter during flexible operation and 3x cable diameter during fixed installation. The wire complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible). The jacket color is gray (RAL 7001). Strand identification is done using colors according to DIN VDE 47100. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 4.3 mm.
