Cable chain cable – reliability in dynamic applications
This specialized PUR cable is designed to operate in demanding conditions, particularly in cable chains. Its exceptional flexibility and resistance to external factors make it an ideal solution for the machinery industry, robotics, and all types of equipment exposed to intense movements and mechanical loads. The cable's construction ensures a long service life and economical use.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on fine-stranded copper conductors (class 6 according to DIN VDE 0295). PVC TI2 insulation provides good electrical protection and resistance to oils. The conductors, wrapped with a textile tape, are protected by a special TMPU polyurethane outer jacket, which guarantees exceptional resistance to abrasion, tearing, oils, and UV radiation. The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the installation needs.
It is worth paying attention to a few key features:
- Exceptional flexibility: allows free routing in cable chains without the risk of damage.
- Resistance to external factors: polyurethane jacket protects against abrasion, tearing, oils, UV radiation, and weather conditions.
- Halogen-free: increases safety in case of fire.
- Wide temperature range: flexibility maintained in the range of -5°C to +70°C, and stationary operation possible from -40°C to +70°C.
- Compliance with standards: meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51.
Technical parameters and application
The cable has a nominal cross-section of 0.34 mm² and a nominal voltage of 350 V. Its outer diameter is approximately 5.3 mm. It is intended for use in dry and humid indoor and outdoor environments (with appropriate protection against atmospheric influences). The minimum bending radius during flexible operation is 5 x cable diameter, and for fixed installation – 3 x cable diameter. Insulation resistance is minimum 20 MOhm x km, and test voltage is 1500 V (breakdown voltage min. 3000 V). The color of the jacket/insulation is gray (RAL 7001). The cable has four conductors with color identification according to DIN VDE 47100.
