Cable chain wire – reliability in dynamic applications
This specialized wire, with a cross-section of 0.25 mm² and a rated voltage of 350V, is designed for demanding applications in cable chains. Its construction guarantees exceptional flexibility and durability, making it an ideal choice for the machinery industry, robotics and all kinds of devices exposed to continuous bending and movement. The meter-long delivery system makes it easy to precisely adapt to installation needs.
Construction and properties for demanding conditions
The S.TR.-PUROE wire stands out with its advanced construction, providing resistance to a number of external factors. Made of a multi-strand copper core (class 6), surrounded by TI2 PVC insulation, it provides flexibility and reliability of connections. In addition, the TMPU polyurethane outer jacket is characterized by exceptional resistance to abrasion, tearing, oil and UV radiation. Thanks to this, the wire retains its properties even in extreme working conditions. It is also important that the materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free.
Safety and compliance with standards
The wire meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking), confirming its safety of use. It is compliant with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +70°C (stationary operation) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible operation). The insulation resistance is minimum 20 MOhm x km, and the breakdown voltage is minimum 3000V. The minimum bending radius is 3x cable diameter for fixed laying and 5x cable diameter during flexible operation. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 5.2 mm.
