Highly durable flexible cable PUR-JB – reliability in harsh conditions

This orange, 500V flexible cable with polyurethane (PUR) insulation is a versatile solution for both professional installers and end-users. Designed for use in demanding industrial environments, it provides reliable power and control where standard cables fail. Its construction guarantees high flexibility even at low temperatures, as well as resistance to abrasion, oils and other aggressive chemicals.

Construction and properties

The PUR-JB cable stands out with its solid construction, which translates to long life and safety of use. It consists of four copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², insulated with special PVC TI2. These conductors are twisted in accordance with DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60288 cl. 5 standards, which ensures their proper flexibility and mechanical strength. Additionally, the cable has an outer polyurethane (PUR) coating that protects it from damage and external factors. The cable version has a yellow-green protective conductor, providing additional safety for the installation.

A key feature of this cable is its resistance to a number of chemicals, including oils, greases, alcohol-free fuels and naphtha. This makes it ideal for use in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, the oil and coal sectors and on construction sites – anywhere where there is a risk of contact with aggressive chemicals. The cable is also resistant to weather conditions, UV radiation, oxygen, ozone and the action of microorganisms and seawater.

Applications and technical parameters

The PUR-JB cable is widely used as a control or power cable in portable industrial equipment and in installations exposed to high mechanical and chemical loads. It can be used both indoors and outdoors – in the temperature range from -15°C to +80°C during installation and from -40°C to +80°C after installation (without vibration). The rated voltage of the cable is 500 V. Its approximate outer diameter is 7.3 mm.
