Flexible PUR-JZ cable – reliability in harsh conditions

This 7-core flexible cable with polyurethane (PUR) insulation is a robust solution for applications requiring resistance to abrasion, oils and aggressive environments. The cable is designed to operate over a wide temperature range, both in flexible and stationary conditions. It is ideal for use in mechanical engineering, foundries, the oil and coal sectors, and on construction sites – anywhere where durability and reliability are required.

This cable is particularly recommended for powering portable industrial equipment and in places exposed to contact with chemicals. Compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) guarantees safe use.

Construction and properties

The PUR-JZ cable stands out with its careful construction ensuring long-term operation:

• Cores: stranded copper, providing flexibility and resistance to bending. Class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295 indicates high conductor flexibility.
• Core insulation: made of high-quality PVC TI2, resistant to mechanical and chemical damage.
• Outer jacket: polyurethane (PUR), providing excellent protection against abrasion, oils, greases and weathering. The material does not contain silicone or cadmium, which is important for environmental and health protection.
• Protective conductor: available with or without a yellow-green protective conductor (G).
• Color: orange (RAL 2003) for easy identification.

Additionally, the cable is characterized by:

• High flexibility even at low temperatures (down to -40°C).
• Resistance to UV radiation, oxygen, ozone and microorganisms.
• Resistance to seawater and sewage.
• Internal PVC coating to facilitate removal of the outer jacket during installation.
