Shielded PUR control cable – reliability in harsh conditions
This flexible control cable with polyurethane (PUR) insulation is designed for applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance. It is ideal for use in mechanical engineering, building installations, and environments exposed to oils and coolants. The robust construction and shielding ensure reliable signal transmission and protection against interference.
This cable is particularly recommended for applications where standard cables fail – in rolling mills, steelworks, or in places exposed to intense abrasion. Its flexibility makes installation easier even in tight spaces.
Construction and properties
The F-C-PURÖ-JZ 5G0,75 cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation:
- Cores: five stranded copper cores, flexible (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), providing high flexibility and resistance to fatigue during bending.
- Insulation: special oil-resistant PVC (TI2) providing reliable electrical insulation and chemical resistance. Cores are black with white numbers for easy identification.
- Shielding: braid of tinned copper wires (85% coverage) minimizes electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing stable signal transmission.
- Outer jacket: made of polyurethane (PUR) provides high resistance to abrasion, tearing, UV radiation and weathering. Color gray (RAL 7001).
- Protective conductor: a yellow-green protective conductor is present for additional safety.
The cable meets the requirements of E DIN VDE 0285-525-1 / DIN EN 50525-1 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
Operating parameters and operating range
This cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range:
- Temperature during installation: from -20°C to +80°C
- Temperature after installation (without vibration): from -40°C to +80°C
- Rated voltage: 300/500 V
- Core cross-section: 0.75 mm²
- Outer diameter: approximately 7.6 mm
- Minimum bending radius: 10x cable diameter for flexible laying and 5x cable diameter for fixed laying.
Additionally, the cable is characterized by high radiation resistance up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad). The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
