Control cable with screen – reliability in harsh conditions
This flexible F-C-PURÖ-JZ 7G1.5 control cable is a robust solution for applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance. The cable stands out with a construction ensuring reliable operation even in extreme conditions, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users. The cable is shielded, which minimizes electromagnetic interference and ensures stable signal transmission.
A key feature of this cable is its exceptional resistance to oils, including machine coolants, and UV radiation. This makes it perfect for use in mechanical engineering, construction installations, rolling mills and steelworks – anywhere it is exposed to intensive use and contact with aggressive substances. The flexible construction with multi-wire class 5 conductors simplifies and speeds up installation, especially in confined spaces.
Construction and properties
The cable is constructed from seven copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², insulated with special oil-resistant PVC. The conductors are twisted in parallel and surrounded by an insulating foil and a braided screen made of tinned copper wires (85% coverage). The whole is protected by a durable outer coating made of polyurethane (PUR) in grey (RAL 7001). Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor.
- Durable PUR insulation: Provides resistance to abrasion, tearing and weathering.
- Braided screen: Protects against electromagnetic interference (EMC), guaranteeing stable signal transmission.
- Flexible construction: Facilitates installation and adaptation to complex installations.
- Chemical resistance: No worries about damage caused by contact with oils and coolants.
- Wide operating temperature range: From -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -20°C to +80°C (flexible).
- Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of E DIN VDE 0285-525-1/ DIN EN 50525-1 and has a flammability class of IEC 60332-1-2.
The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of a specific application. Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or paint-inhibiting substances.
