Flexible spiral cable PUR-SPIKA – reliability in motion

This black, three-core spiral cable PUR-SPIKA with a length of 500 mm is the ideal solution wherever high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage are required. The cable is designed for dynamic applications where traditional cabling could fail. Thanks to its construction based on a polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket, it provides long-lasting protection of the copper cores against abrasion, stretching and external factors.

Construction and properties

The PUR-SPIKA cable is distinguished by its solid construction. It consists of stranded copper cores, meeting the standards DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228. The core insulation is made of rubber, and the protective conductor (yellow-green) is present from three conductors. The PUR outer jacket guarantees high resistance to oils, greases and other chemicals. The cable is characterized by an elongation ratio of 1:4, which means it can be stretched up to 2 meters without losing its properties. In addition, each cable has straight sections of 200 mm in length at the ends, making it easier to connect to devices.

Applications and parameters

This cable finds wide application in various industries: machinery and electrical equipment, construction industry, lifts, equipment in the entertainment industry, medical equipment and measuring instruments. It will also work well in revolving doors. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to +70°C and has a rated voltage of 300/500 V (H05BQ-F). The test voltage is 2000 V. The core cross-section is 0.75 mm², and the outer diameter is approximately 7.1 mm. Axial versions and spiral sections up to 5 meters in length before stretching are also available.
