Submersible pump cable – reliable power supply in harsh conditions

This blue HELUPOWER® AQUATIC-750-BLUE cable with a cross-section of 2x1 mm² is specifically designed for powering submersible pumps, including those used for drinking water. Its construction and materials guarantee safe and long-lasting operation even in extreme conditions, such as immersion in water to a depth of up to 600 meters. This cable is used not only in home installations but also in the food industry, fish ponds and aquariums.

Construction and application

The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250/DIN VDE 0285-525-1/DIN EN 50525-1, which demonstrates its high quality and safety. Made of un-tinned, multi-strand copper conductors class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228) insulated with PVC, it provides efficient current conduction. Twisted strands with an optimal lay length minimize the risk of interference. The sheath made of crosslinked halogen-free plastic (RAL 5015 – blue) provides resistance to external factors and protects against mechanical damage. The cable is identified according to DIN VDE 0293-308 – black core and colored cores (from 3 cores with a yellow-green core).

Safety and certificates

A key feature of this cable is the PZH certificate, which allows it to come into contact with drinking water. This means it can be safely used in installations supplying water intended for human consumption. In addition, the cable is resistant to chlorine (up to 0.6 mg/l) and salt water (up to 6%), which expands its range of applications. It also has DVGW KTW BWGL, WRAS and DM 174 approvals. This ensures that it meets the highest standards of quality and safety. The cable is tested with 2500V.

This cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures – flexible from -25°C to +50°C and stationary from -40°C to +80°C. The minimum bending radius for fixed installation is 5x the cable diameter, and the operating voltage is U0/U 450/750 V. Its total resistance to moisture diffusion enables operation at a depth of up to 600 meters under external pressure up to 60 bar.
