Submersible pump cable – reliability and safety in contact with water
This blue HELUPOWER® AQUATIC-750-BLUE cable with a cross-section of 3G16 mm² is a specialized solution designed to power submersible pumps, including those used for drinking water intake. Its construction and materials guarantee safe and long-lasting operation even in harsh underwater conditions. The cable is distinguished by its high resistance to chemical and mechanical factors, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users.
Construction and application – approved for contact with drinking water
The cable is designed in accordance with DIN VDE 0250/DIN VDE 0285-525-1/DIN EN 50525-1 standards. It is made of multi-strand copper wire class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228) insulated with PVC. The wires are twisted in a way that minimizes the risk of damage during operation. The outer coating is made of cross-linked halogen-free plastic, which provides resistance to abrasion, moisture and UV radiation. A key feature is the PZH certificate, confirming the possibility of using the cable in drinking water systems – certificate number B.BK.60110.0936.2022 NIZP PZH - PIB valid until 07.09.2025. This cable finds application not only in submersible pumps, but also in food processing plants, fish ponds and aquariums. It can be used at depths of up to 600 meters, as well as in salt water with a salinity of up to 6%.
Key features and benefits
- Resistance to external factors: The cable is resistant to chlorine (up to 0.6 mg/l) and salt water (up to 6% salinity), ensuring its long-term operation in demanding environments.
- Safety: The halogen-free coating minimizes the risk of toxic gases being released in the event of a fire.
- Flexibility: The cable construction provides good flexibility, making it easy to install and route in tight spaces. Operating temperature range is flexibly from -25°C to +50°C, stationary from -40°C to +80°C and temperature in water +60°C
- Mechanical strength: The cross-linked PVC coating protects the cable from mechanical damage and ensures its durability.
- Approvals: In addition to the PZH certificate, it also has DVGW approvals: KTW BWGL and WRAS and DM 174, which confirms its high quality and compliance with applicable standards.
- Wire identification: Compliant with DIN VDE 0293-308 – facilitates correct connection of wires during installation (1 wire: black ≤ 5 wires: colored wires from 3 wires with a yellow-green wire).
- Rated voltage: Uo/U 450/750 V, test voltage: 2500 V
- Minimum bending radius: for fixed laying it is 5x cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in difficult conditions.
