Flexible cable for industrial and robotics applications
This shielded flexible cable 7G1.5 JZ-HF-CY is designed for demanding applications where flexibility and resistance to interference are key. It is ideal for mechanical engineering, robotics, device manufacturing and anywhere reliable connections in motion are needed. The cable construction provides high mechanical strength under medium load, and the shielding effectively minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference on transmitted signals.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction providing exceptional flexibility. It is made of seven stranded copper conductors (class 6), insulated with special PVC (Z 7225). The conductors are twisted in parallel for optimal twist pitch, which further increases flexibility. An inner fleece layer of PVC and a screen of spirally wrapped copper wires (minimum 85% coverage) provide effective protection against interference. The outer jacket is made of durable PVC (TM5), in gray (RAL 7001). The conductors are numbered for easy identification. A version with a yellow-green protective conductor is also available.
The cable meets DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards and is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The cable has passed PVC self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1) and is oil-resistant (DIN VDE 0473-811-404 / DIN EN 60811-404).
Operating parameters and temperature range
The cable retains its properties in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -10°C to +80°C during dynamic operation. The rated voltage is 500V, and the test voltage is 4000V. The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter during dynamic operation and 5x cable diameter for fixed installation. The cable has radiation resistance up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 12.5 mm.
