Frequency inverter cable – reliability and protection
This double-shielded flexible 1kV cable, designated TF-EMV-2YSLCY-J 4G120, is an ideal solution for applications requiring high resistance to electromagnetic interference. Designed for power connections to frequency inverters, it ensures stable and safe operation of devices. This cable is particularly recommended in industrial installations where it is exposed to high loads and potential interference.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation. It consists of four copper conductors with a cross-section of 120 mm², which are twisted to increase flexibility. These conductors are insulated with polyethylene (PE), which minimizes dielectric losses and increases voltage resistance. Two shields – aluminum foil and a braid of copper wires – effectively suppress electromagnetic interference, protecting sensitive devices from its effects. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), providing resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 48.7 mm.

The TF-EMV-2YSLCY-J 4G120 cable finds wide application in the machine industry, metallurgy, as well as in control, signaling and measurement installations. It is ideal for conveyor connections, technological lines and powering SIMOVERT drives. Thanks to a special PVC mixture, the cable is extremely flexible and easy to install, even in tight spaces. It meets the standards regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) according to EN 55011 and DIN VDE 0875 part 11, making it an excellent choice for applications requiring high precision and reliability. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from +5°C to +70°C (flexible).
