PVC cable resistant to high temperatures HELUTHERM® 120 18G1,5 mm² black, conductor identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 24036

High-temperature resistant PVC cable – reliability in harsh conditions

This black HELUTHERM® 120 cable with 18 conductors of 1.5 mm² cross-section is a solid solution for applications requiring resistance to elevated temperatures. Designed for flexibility and durability, it performs well in both industrial installations and devices exposed to heat. Conductor identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 simplifies installation and servicing.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) both in the conductor insulation and in the outer sheath, providing good mechanical and electrical protection. Flexible stranded conductors of class 5 guarantee flexibility and facilitate routing of cables even in tight spaces. A special PVC formula allows continuous operation at temperatures up to 105°C (short-term up to 120°C), making it an ideal choice for use in paint shops, dryers, and with motors and machines generating heat. The permissible ambient temperature during installation is from -5°C to 105°C, and after installation from -30°C to 105°C.

Applications and benefits

The HELUTHERM® 120 cable is used in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors. It is particularly recommended for:

  • Industrial machines and equipment: where elevated operating temperatures occur.
  • Electric motors: providing safe and reliable power supply.
  • Paint shops and dryers: high temperature resistance guarantees long-term operation.
  • Internal installations: where flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage are required.
  • Applications requiring compliance with standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-11 / DIN EN 50525-2-11 and IEC 60227/56; IEC 60227/57.

Additional advantages include:

  • Radiation resistance: up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).
  • Silicone and cadmium free: materials used in production are safe for the environment and do not interfere with painting processes.
  • Self-extinguishing and flame retardant: meets the requirements of VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
  • Rated voltage U: up to 500 V (for cross-sections up to 1 mm²) and up to 750 V (for cross-sections from 1.5 mm²).
  • Test voltage: up to 6000 V, confirming the high quality of insulation.
  • Minimum bending radius: flexible – 7.5 x cable diameter; stationary – 4 x cable diameter facilitates installation even in tight spaces.
