High-temperature resistant PVC cable – reliability in demanding conditions
This black, 18-core HELUTHERM® 120 cable is designed to operate in environments where standard cabling fails. Made from high-quality PVC, it provides reliable performance even at elevated temperatures, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users. The cable is characterized by its flexibility and durability, and its construction ensures safe and efficient power transmission.
Construction and application
The HELUTHERM® 120 cable combines a solid construction with advanced materials. It utilizes multi-wire copper conductors of class 5, providing good flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The core insulation is made of PVC TI3, and the outer jacket is made of high-temperature resistant PVC TM3. This combination allows for continuous operation at temperatures up to +105°C (short-term up to +120°C) and in a wide range of ambient temperatures from -30°C to +105°C.
The cable is primarily used in machines, equipment and motors operating at high temperatures – e.g. in paint shops, dryers or in the food industry. It will also work in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors. It is a versatile solution for installations requiring resistance to harsh operating conditions.
Key features and benefits
- High-temperature resistance: The special PVC formula allows for continuous operation at temperatures up to +105°C, increasing safety and extending the life of the installation.
- Flexibility: The multi-wire conductor construction makes installation and routing of cables easier, even in tight spaces.
- Durability: High-quality materials provide resistance to abrasion, mechanical damage and weathering.
- Safety: The cable meets DIN VDE 0285-525-2-11 / DIN EN 50525-2-11 and IEC 60332-1-2 standards (self-extinguishing and flame retardant), guaranteeing safe use.
- Core identification: Color-coded core identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 simplifies correct cable connection.
- Wide voltage range: The cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500 V (for cross-sections 0.5-1 mm² U₀/U 300/500 V; from 1.5 mm² U₀/U 450/750 V).
- Metered: Available in practical meter lengths, minimizing material waste during installation.
- Outer diameter: The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 12.9 mm, which facilitates the selection of appropriate mounting accessories.
Thanks to these features, the HELUTHERM® 120 cable is an investment in a safe and reliable electrical installation that will last for years.
