High-temperature resistant PVC cable – reliability in harsh conditions
This flexible PVC cable, known as HELUTHERM® 120, is designed for operation in demanding environments where standard cabling fails. It is characterized by high temperature resistance and is an ideal solution for machines, devices and motors operating in hot conditions, such as paint shops or dryers. It will work both in internal installations (dry, humid and wet) and outdoors.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) both in the insulation of the cores and in the outer coating. Multi-wire copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295) provide flexibility and reliability of connections. Core identification is done using colors (according to DIN VDE 0293-308), which facilitates installation and servicing. The special PVC composition ensures resistance to high temperatures up to +105°C (short-term up to +120°C) and flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -30°C to +105°C during stationary operation and from -5°C to +105°C during flexible operation. The cable complies with the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-11 / DIN EN 50525-2-11.
Applications and benefits
The HELUTHERM® 120 cable is an excellent choice for:
- Installers: easy installation thanks to the flexibility of the cables and clear core identification.
- End users: long-lasting and safe operation of devices even at high temperatures.
- Industry: use in machines, heating devices, dryers, paint shops and other applications requiring thermal resistance.
- Internal and external installations: versatility of use in various environmental conditions.
Additional advantages:
- Rated voltage up to 750V (depending on the cross-section).
- UV resistance up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).
- Minimum bending radius: 7.5 x outer diameter (flexible operation) and 4 x outer diameter (stationary operation).
- Material does not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
- Meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
