Highly temperature-resistant PVC cable – reliability in harsh conditions
This flexible cable, made of special high-temperature resistant PVC, is designed for applications requiring reliability even in extreme conditions. It is ideal for machines, devices and engines operating at high temperatures, such as paint shops or dryers. The cable is intended for installation in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors.
Construction and properties
The HELUTHERM® 120 cable is characterized by a solid construction. It is made of stranded copper conductor, meeting the standards DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5. The core insulation is made of special PVC TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / DIN EN 50363-3), and the outer jacket of high-temperature resistant PVC TM3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1 / DIN EN 50363-4-1). The cores are colored according to DIN VDE 0293-308 (up to 5 cores – colored, above 6 – black with white numbering), and the protective core is yellow-green and placed externally (from 3 cores). The cable is metered and available in black (RAL 9005).
Application and benefits
This cable is an excellent choice for installers and end-users looking for a safe and durable solution. Its resistance to high temperatures (up to +105°C, briefly +120°C) and a wide range of permissible ambient temperatures (-30°C to +105°C during stationary operation and -5°C to +105°C during flexible operation) guarantee reliable operation even in demanding conditions. In addition, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substances. The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-11 / DIN EN 50525-2-11 and has passed tests for self-ignition and flame retardancy (VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1).
- High temperature resistance: Enables safe use in heat-generating devices.
- Flexibility: Facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces.
- Wide temperature range: Ensures reliable operation in various environmental conditions.
- Compliance with standards: Guarantees product safety and quality.
- Mechanical strength: Ensures long-term operation.
- Safety: Materials do not contain harmful substances.
The conductor cross-section is 2.5 mm², and the rated voltage U is 500 V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 9.3 mm. The cable has three current-carrying cores and one protective core.
