Flexible control cable JZ-500 – reliability and durability in every application

This 12-core JZ-500 cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² is a versatile solution for medium-load electrical installations. The cable is characterized by high flexibility, making it ideal for connections requiring frequent bending and movement. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures safe and long-lasting operation in various conditions.

Construction and properties

The JZ-500 cable has been designed for demanding applications. Its construction includes:

• Copper conductors: Multi-wire, flexible copper conductors class 5 provide good conductivity and resistance to material fatigue.
• PVC insulation: Each core is insulated with special PVC (Z 7225), guaranteeing high electrical and mechanical resistance.
• Core marking: Black cores with white numbers facilitate identification and connection, minimizing the risk of errors during installation. Additionally, a yellow-green protective core is present for increased safety.
• Outer PVC jacket: A durable outer jacket made of special PVC (TM2) provides protection against mechanical damage, weathering, and the influence of oils and chemicals. The jacket color is black (RAL 9005).
• Metering: The cable is supplied in meter lengths, making it easy to precisely adapt to installation needs.

This cable also stands out for its UV resistance and self-extinguishing properties, confirmed by tests in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium, and substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and operating parameters

The JZ-500 cable finds application in a wide range of electrical installations:

• Machine industry: Control, signaling, and measurements in production lines and conveyor belts.
• Indoor installations: Laying in dry, damp, and wet rooms.
• Outdoor installations: Possible laying in the open air (avoid direct burial in the ground or laying under water).

The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has a fire reaction class Eca according to the CPR standard. It is compliant with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51.
