Flexible cable for universal applications

This flexible JZ-500 black cable with three 2.5 mm² cross-section conductors is a versatile solution for electrical connections requiring flexibility and resistance to external factors. The cable is designed to operate in various conditions, both indoors and outdoors, making it an ideal choice for installers and end-users.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction based on stranded copper conductors, which ensures good flexibility and resistance to bending. The conductors are insulated with special PVC Z 7225, and the entire cable is surrounded by an outer sheath of PVC TM2, providing protection against mechanical damage, moisture and chemical influences. The cable conductors are black with white numbering, which facilitates identification during installation and servicing. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (in configurations above 3 conductors), increasing safety. The materials used are silicone, cadmium, and substances disrupting paint adhesion free.

This cable is resistant to oil and many chemical compounds – detailed information can be found in the "Technical Information" table available from the manufacturer. It also has high resistance to UV radiation and meets standards regarding self-extinguishing and flame retardancy (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1). The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation.

Application and operating parameters

The JZ-500 black cable is used in medium mechanically loaded flexible installations where tensile stresses do not occur. It works perfectly in dry, damp and wet rooms as well as outdoors (excluding direct laying in the ground or water). It is often used in mechanical engineering for control, signaling and measurement in production lines and conveyor belts.

The cable retains its properties in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C during dynamic operation. The rated voltage is 500 V, and the insulation resistance is at least 20 MΩ x km. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for dynamic laying and 4 x cable diameter for stationary laying. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 8.9 mm.
