Flexible cable for universal applications

This black OZ-500 flexible cable with a voltage of 500V is a reliable solution for medium-duty installations requiring flexibility. This cable, with five 1 mm² conductors, is ideal for both fixed and frequently bent installations. Made from high-quality materials, it ensures safe and long-lasting operation.

The cable is designed in accordance with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards, guaranteeing its reliability and safety. Copper conductors, stranded in a rope, provide good flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. Insulation made of PVC Z 7225 and an external coating of PVC TM2 protect the cable from external factors. The conductors marked with white numbers facilitate identification during assembly and servicing.

Construction and properties

The OZ-500 cable has been designed for a wide range of applications. Its construction includes:

• Conductors: copper, un-tinned, stranded rope class 5 (DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228), providing high flexibility and resistance to repeated bending.
• Insulation: made of special PVC Z 7225, guarantees good electrical insulation and abrasion resistance.
• Conductor marking: black conductors with white numbers facilitate the identification of individual wires during installation.
• Outer sheath: made of special PVC TM2 (DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1/DIN EN 50363-4-1), provides protection against mechanical damage and weathering.
• Color: black (RAL 9005) – a universal color that facilitates integration with various installations.

Additionally, the cable is oil-resistant, resistant to chemical compounds and UV radiation, which increases its durability and range of applications. It also has self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1). The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C (flexible). The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter for stationary operation.

Application and operating parameters

The OZ-500 cable is used in:

• Industrial machines and equipment for control, signaling and measurement.
• Conveyor belts.
• Installations in dry, damp and outdoor environments (excluding direct laying in the ground or water).
• Flexible connections without tensile stress.

The cable's operating voltage is U0/U 300/500 V, and the test voltage is 4000 V. The insulation resistance is min. 20 MΩ x km, and the breakdown voltage is min. 8000 V. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
