Universal flexible cable for industrial and installation applications

This 7-core OZ-500 cable is a robust solution for medium-duty installations where flexibility and resistance to external factors are required. It is suitable for both dry and humid environments, as well as outdoors – provided it is not laid directly in the ground or in water. This cable is particularly recommended for mechanical engineering, control, signaling and measurement in production lines and conveyor belts.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction that ensures high reliability and durability. It is made of multi-strand copper conductors (class 5), insulated with special PVC (Z 7225), which guarantees good flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The cores are black with white numbering, which facilitates identification during installation. The whole is surrounded by an outer sheath of PVC (TM2) in black (RAL 9005). The cable is metered, which makes it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation.

In addition, this cable is distinguished by a number of important properties:

• Chemical resistance: it is resistant to oils and many chemicals – detailed information can be found in the "Technical information" table.
• UV resistance: the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting, and are also resistant to ultraviolet radiation.
• Safety: it meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has passed PVC self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 standards.
• Wide temperature range: permissible operating temperature is from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C (flexible).

Operating parameters and specifications

The OZ-500 cable with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 500 V. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter for stationary operation. Insulation resistance is minimum 20 MΩ x km, and test voltage is 4000 V. The cable has radiation resistance up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 12 mm, and its weight is approx. 0.306 kg/m.
