Universal control cable for industrial applications and installations

This 18-core UL-CSA 600 V cable is a flexible solution for control systems where reliability and resistance to external factors are required. It is used in connections between control panels and machinery or other industrial equipment, both in dry and humid environments with medium mechanical stress. Designed for durability and safety, it meets the stringent UL and CSA standards.

Construction and properties

The cable features a robust construction using stranded copper conductors twisted according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards. The core insulation is made of high-quality TI3 PVC, providing good electrical insulation and mechanical resistance. The cores are black with white numbering for easy identification, and a yellow-green protective conductor is included as standard. The outer jacket made of special YM5 PVC provides additional protection against damage and environmental factors.

Particular attention has been paid to oil resistance – both mineral, synthetic and water-based coolants. The cable is also silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free. The materials used meet the requirements for self-extinguishing and flame retardancy (UL VW-1, CSA FT1), increasing the safety of the installation. This makes this cable suitable for demanding industrial conditions.

User parameters and compliance with standards

The cable has a rated voltage of 600 V and an allowable operating temperature in the range of -40°C to +90°C (stationary) and -5°C to +90°C (flexible). Its outer diameter is approximately 12 mm, and the cross-section of a single core is 0.5 mm². The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has UL and CSA AWM I/II A/B Style 2587 approvals. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, and the test voltage is 3000 V with a breakdown voltage of at least 6000 V. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter for fixed installation.
