Flexible shielded cable for industrial and control applications

This black, shielded flexible cable JZ-500-C is a reliable solution for medium mechanically loaded connections where flexibility and protection against interference are required. Made from high-quality materials, this cable performs excellently in dry, humid and wet rooms, as well as outdoors – provided direct contact with the ground or water is avoided. It is particularly recommended in mechanical engineering for control, signaling and measurement in production lines and with conveyor belts.

Construction and properties ensuring durability

The cable is characterized by a solid construction: copper strands twisted according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 class 5 standards ensure flexibility and mechanical strength. PVC Z 7225 insulation guarantees good electrical insulation, and black cores with white numbers facilitate the identification of individual wires. Additionally, the presence of a copper braid screen (approx. 85% coverage) minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in industrial environments. The outer jacket made of special PVC TM2 provides resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The cable is metered for convenient dispensing during installation.

Safety and compliance with standards

The JZ-500-C cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The cable is also resistant to UV radiation and oils and chemicals (detailed information in the "Technical Information" table). A version with a yellow-green protective conductor (G) or without it (x) is available.

Key parameters of this cable are: rated voltage of 500 V, core cross-section of 4 mm², number of cores equal to 4 and outer diameter of approximately 12.4 mm. The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C with fixed installation and from -15°C to +80°C during assembly. It is also resistant to radiation up to a level of 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad), and the copper braid screen provides EMC interference reduction.
