This black, five-core flexible cable OZ-500-C is the ideal solution for connections requiring flexibility and protection against electromagnetic interference. The cable is designed for a wide range of applications – from installations inside buildings to operation in harsh industrial environments. The braided screen construction provides high resistance to interference, which is crucial in control and measurement systems.

Construction and properties ensuring long-term operation

The cable is characterized by a solid construction using high-quality materials. Twisted copper strands, made in class 5 (flexible multi-wire), guarantee high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. PVC Z 7225 insulation provides good electrical insulation and chemical resistance. The cores are black with white number printing, which facilitates identification during installation. Additionally, the cable has a screen made of tinned copper wires, which minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference on transmitted signals. The braid provides approx. 85% coverage, which translates to screening efficiency. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of PVC TM2, resistant to abrasion and weather conditions.

Application and compliance with standards

The OZ-500-C cable is intended for use under medium mechanical load in flexible installations where tensile stresses do not occur. It is ideal for use in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors (excluding direct laying in the ground or water). It finds application in mechanical industry for control, signaling and measurement in production lines and conveyor belts. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards. Remember to ensure bilateral contact of the copper braid with the terminals for optimal EMC protection – cable glands are recommended.
