Control cable for data transmission

JE-LIYCY Bd 2x2x0.5 cable is a specialized cable designed for data transmission in control and digital systems. The cable construction, compliant with DIN VDE 0815 standard, ensures reliable operation in dry and humid environments, both indoors and outdoors – provided it is permanently laid. It is not intended for high-current installations.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of multi-wire copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², insulated with PVC (Semi-Rigid-PVC). The conductors are twisted in pairs, and then 4 pairs are combined into bundles. The whole is surrounded by a foil and a screen made of tinned copper braid, which provides high resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMC). This braid should be connected to the terminals (e.g., cable glands) on both sides and properly for optimal protection against interference. The last layer is an outer jacket made of PVC YM1, available in gray (RAL 7032).

The cable is characterized by the following features: conductors made of multi-wire copper with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², insulation made of PVC (Semi-Rigid-PVC) providing flexibility and durability, shielding in the form of a copper braid protecting against electromagnetic interference, and an outer jacket made of PVC YM1 resistant to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors. The cable retains its properties in the temperature range from -30°C to +70°C with permanent laying and from -5°C to +50°C during flexible operation. The operating voltage is 225 V, but the cable is not intended for high-current installations.

The minimum bending radius is approximately 6 x cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces.
