Shielded control and signal cable PAAR-TRONIC-CY
This flexible cable is designed for data transmission and control systems, especially in environments exposed to electromagnetic interference. The construction with twisted pair cores and a copper screen provides high resistance to interference, guaranteeing a stable signal. The cable is used in dry, damp and wet rooms, but should not be laid in the open air.
The PAAR-TRONIC-CY cable is characterized by high flexibility thanks to the multi-wire core construction (class 5), which facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces. Made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) both in core insulation and in the outer jacket, it ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The braided copper wire screen effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference, and its connection to terminals (e.g. using cable glands) further improves electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Construction features and user parameters
- Core cross-section: 1.5 mm², allowing for safe transmission of control and data signals.
- Number of cores: 4, enabling the transmission of multiple signals simultaneously.
- Outer diameter: approximately 10.7 mm – compact size facilitates installation even in limited spaces.
- Temperature range: Operation at temperatures from -30°C to +80°C (after installation without vibration) and flexibly from -5°C to +80°C during installation – the cable performs well in various environmental conditions.
- Test voltage: core/core 1200 V, core/screen 800 V – ensures safe use.
- Radiation resistance: up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad) – possibility of use in environments exposed to radiation.
- Jacket color: gray (RAL 7032) – facilitates cable identification in the installation.
- Minimum bending radius: 5x cable diameter for fixed laying and 10x cable diameter during bending – ensures trouble-free installation without damaging the cable.
The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0812 and DIN VDE 0814 standards and has a CE certificate, confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The materials used in production are free from silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting, and the PVC is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant according to VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1-2 standards.
