Flat cable for industrial and other applications
This four-core flat cable with PVC insulation is a versatile solution for a wide range of applications where flexibility, durability and ease of installation are important. The cable, with a cross-section of 35 mm², is designed to operate in harsh conditions, both indoors and outdoors. It is ideal for conveyor systems, lifts, cranes and in the machinery industry.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring reliability and long service life. Made of high-quality materials, it meets EN 50214 and DIN VDE 0283-2 standards. Copper, stranded and flexible conductors of class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295 / IEC 60228) ensure good conductivity and flexibility. PVC insulation and an external PVC TM2 coating protect the cable against mechanical damage, weathering and the influence of oils and chemicals. Color coding of conductors (up to 5 conductors colored, above 7 conductors black with white numbers) facilitates identification during installation. A green-yellow protective conductor provides additional safety.
This cable is distinguished by its exceptional resistance to oils and chemicals - detailed information on chemical resistance can be found in the technical documentation. In addition, it is characterized by an extremely small bending radius and high flexibility, making it easy to lay even in tight spaces. The possibility of layering and a compact design allow for space saving. The cable has passed flame propagation tests (IEC 60332-1-2 / DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2), which increases safety.
Technical parameters and application
The cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 450/750 V (for cross-sections up to 1 mm²: 300/500 V). The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible). The minimum bending radius is approximately 10 x cable thickness. It is important to maintain symmetrical loading when laying flat cables with a small cross-section (below 2.5 mm²), taking into account an additional safety margin (10%).
Spools with flat cable should be transported in a vertical position with a collar to maintain proper flexibility. When unwinding, it is recommended to start with a smaller cross-section, laying it at the bottom and gradually building up a layer with larger cross-sections.
