This 16-core flat cable, designated PVC-PŁASKI 16G1,5, is an ideal solution for applications requiring flexibility and resistance to external factors. Manufactured by the renowned HELUKABEL, it meets EN 50214 and DIN VDE 0283-2 standards, guaranteeing safety and high quality. This cable is particularly recommended for conveyor systems, lifts, cranes and in the machine industry.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a flat construction, which facilitates its laying and minimizes space occupied. Copper, stranded and un-tinned conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295) ensure good conductivity and flexibility. PVC insulation (TI2 according to DIN VDE 0207-363-3) and an external PVC jacket (TM2 according to DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1) protect against mechanical damage and the influence of chemicals. The cores are arranged in parallel, and a protective core (green-yellow) provides additional safety. The color of the outer jacket is black (RAL 9005).
This cable is distinguished by its exceptional resistance to oils and chemicals, making it an ideal choice for harsh working conditions. Additionally, it has self-extinguishing properties and is flame retardant (tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1-2). The minimum bending radius is approximately 10 x cable thickness, making installation easier even in tight spaces.
Technical parameters and scope of applications
The PVC-PŁASKI 16G1,5 cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible). The rated voltage is 450/750V for cross-sections from 1.5 mm², and the test voltage is 2500V. The core cross-section is 1.5 mm². Thanks to these parameters, the cable is perfect for applications requiring reliable electrical energy conduction in various environmental conditions.
It is worth remembering a few installation tips: cable reels should be transported in an upright position with a collar. When unwinding cables, it is recommended to start with a smaller cross-section, laying it on the surface and gradually building a layer with larger cross-sections.
