Shielded installation cable – protection and reliability
This shielded installation cable (N)YM(ST)-J 3G1.5/1.5 is a solid solution for electrical installations requiring protection against electromagnetic interference. Made of high-quality materials, it provides safe and efficient power transmission in various applications. The cable is particularly recommended for places exposed to interference, such as computer workstations, hospitals or industrial measurement control rooms.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction ensuring durability and reliability. Copper cores, insulated with PVC, are twisted in parallel and secured with an aluminum foil screen. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of gray PVC (RAL 7035). Such a combination of materials guarantees resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors. The cable meets the DIN VDE 0250 part 204 standard, which confirms its compliance with European safety standards.
- Shielding: Effectively reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable operation of devices sensitive to these disturbances.
- PVC insulation: Provides good electrical insulation and moisture resistance.
- Copper cores: Guarantee efficient current conduction.
- Wide operating temperature range: Possibility of operation at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from +5°C to +70°C (flexible).
- UV resistance: The cable can be used outdoors, provided it is protected from direct sunlight or laid in cable ducts.
- Compliance with standards: The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
Applications and installation
The (N)YM(ST)-J 3G1.5/1.5 cable finds wide application in residential and industrial construction. It can be laid in dry and humid rooms, both on the surface and in concrete (excluding direct embedding in single-fraction compacted concrete, vibrated concrete and rammed concrete). The minimum bending radius for fixed laying is 4x the cable diameter. The cable is ideal wherever reducing interference and ensuring the safety of the electrical installation is key. It should be remembered that use in hazardous areas is prohibited.
