Crane control cable for demanding applications
This black, 12-core control cable LIFT-2S with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² is specifically designed for use in lifting equipment. Manufactured by HELUKABEL, it combines strength and flexibility, ensuring reliable operation even in extreme conditions. This cable is ideal for use in cranes, conveyor belts and manually operated lifting devices. The steel support element provides high resistance to tensile and mechanical damage, and the special design guarantees safety even if the support element breaks – the cable insulation remains intact.
Construction and properties
The LIFT-2S cable is characterized by a solid construction that ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Copper strands are twisted into bundles and then insulated with special PVC TI2, providing high flexibility and abrasion resistance. In addition, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor for increased safety. A reinforcing braid and an outer jacket made of special PVC TM2 provide additional protection against mechanical damage and environmental factors. It is worth noting that the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
Application and operating parameters
This cable is perfect for applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to mechanical loads. The rated voltage of 300/500 V and the operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and -15°C to +70°C (flexible) allow its use in a wide range of environmental conditions. The minimum bending radius of 20 x cable diameter facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces. The cable meets the safety standards DIN VDE 0250 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking), which confirms its high quality and compliance with applicable regulations. In addition, it is UV-resistant and has self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2).
