PVC power cable NYY-J – reliability and safety in every installation

This black NYY-J power cable with a cross-section of 1x35 mm² is a solid solution for powering various devices and installations. Made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) both in the core insulation and the outer coating, it provides long-lasting protection against external factors. Core identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 facilitates correct installation and later identification.

This cable is designed for a wide range of applications – both outdoors (in the ground, in the open air) and indoors (in dry and damp buildings). It will be suitable in power plants, industry, switchgear stations and local networks, wherever there is no risk of mechanical damage. Its construction with a single-wire core of class 1 guarantees good flexibility while maintaining strength.

Operating parameters and construction

The NYY-J cable is characterized by a rated voltage U of 1000 kV and a U0 voltage of 600 kV. It can operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C after installation and from -5°C to +50°C during installation. The maximum permissible core temperature is 70°C. The round shape of the core facilitates cable routing, and the lack of a screen and lead sheath reduces its weight and cost. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 13 mm.

The cable construction is based on a copper core with a cross-section of 35 mm², surrounded by DIV4 type PVC insulation. The core is twisted in layers for optimal pitch, which improves its electrical properties. The outer coating made of DMV5 type PVC provides additional protection against mechanical damage and weather conditions. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0276-603 / HD 603 S1 / IEC 60502 and DIN VDE 0276-627 / HD 627 S1 / IEC 60502 (from 7 cores).
