Photovoltaic cable for demanding installations

The SOLARFLEX®-X H1Z2Z2-K cable is a high-quality, single-core cable designed for wiring photovoltaic systems. Manufactured in accordance with EN 50618, it provides reliable and safe connections in solar installations. It is ideal for connecting photovoltaic panels and cables connecting modules to the inverter. The possibility of direct burial in the ground (use of protective pipes recommended) increases installation flexibility, but it is not intended for permanent underwater installation.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction – a multi-strand copper core, covered with a cross-linked plastic insulation. The outer coating, also made of cross-linked plastic, provides resistance to atmospheric factors, UV radiation and ozone. Thanks to the use of halogen-free (LSOH) materials, the cable is environmentally friendly and minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire. The reaction to fire class is Dca, which meets the requirements of many installations. The cable complies with DIN VDE 0283-618 and PN-EN 50618 standards.

Application and user parameters

The SOLARFLEX®-X H1Z2Z2-K cable works perfectly both in outdoor and indoor installations. It can be used in systems with protective insulation (II protection class). The maximum permissible DC voltage in the system must not exceed 1.8 kV, and the AC/DC operating voltage is 1000/1500 V, respectively. The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C (stationary), and withstands short-term loads up to +120°C. The cable's service life is estimated at a minimum of 25 years with proper operation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 7.4 mm, which facilitates its installation and routing.
