Construction and application

The RD-Y(St)Y cable was designed for demanding internal installations. Twisting the wires in pairs minimizes interference, and the aluminum foil acts as an electrostatic shield, protecting against external disturbances. This makes it ideal for use in industry, power plants, dispatcher stations, and measurement and control technology. Additionally, this cable is compatible with the Maxi-Termi-Point* connection system, which simplifies and speeds up installation.

The resistance of the wire (loop) does not exceed 73.6 Ohm/km, which affects the minimization of signal loss over longer cable lengths. Multi-strand wires of class 2 provide flexibility and facilitate cable routing in tight spaces. Wire color coding (blue/red, gray/yellow, brown/brown, white/black) makes identification easier during installation.
