Data transmission cable RE-2Y(ST)Yv – reliability and protection in control systems

This shielded RE-2Y(ST)Yv cable is a solid solution for data transmission in control systems and digital transmission. The construction with polyethylene core insulation and a shielding foil ensures stable operation and minimizes interference. The cable is designed for use both indoors and outdoors, as well as for underground installations. It will work well in humid and wet environments where standard cables might fail.

Construction and user properties

The cable consists of 24 cores, divided into 12 pairs, with a cross-section of 0.75 mm². Multi-wire cores of class 2 provide flexibility and facilitate installation. Twisted pairs minimize interference between wires, and the shielding foil protects against electromagnetic interference from outside. A durable PVC outer jacket provides resistance to mechanical damage and weathering. This makes the cable ideal for use in harsh industrial conditions.

The cable has been tested according to VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 (equivalent to DIN VDE 0472 part 804 test method B), confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties. The permissible operating temperature range is from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +50°C (flexible).
