This shielded PE/PVC, twisted pair cable is designed for digital data transmission and in control systems. The construction of polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) provides flexibility and durability, allowing use in various conditions. This cable is particularly useful in installations requiring protection against electromagnetic interference.
Construction and properties
The RE-2Y(ST)Yv cable is characterized by a construction based on 32 conductors, twisted in 16 pairs. Each pair is shielded with foil, which minimizes the risk of interference and ensures stable signal transmission. The conductors are made of stranded copper, which increases the flexibility of the cable and facilitates its installation. Additionally, the cable has a drain wire with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², insulated with polyethylene. The outer jacket made of PVC provides resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors.
It is worth noting the operating temperature range of the cable – from -40°C to +70°C for stationary installation and from -5°C to +50°C during flexible operation. This allows the cable to be used both indoors and outdoors, even in harsh environmental conditions. Fire reaction class Eca provides an additional level of safety.
