Data transmission cable RE-2Y(ST)Yv – reliability and protection in control systems

This shielded RE-2Y(ST)Yv cable is a solid solution for data transmission in control systems and digital transmission. The construction of polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) ensures durability and resistance to external conditions, making it an ideal choice for both installers and end users. The cable is designed for permanent installations inside buildings, including in damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors and underground.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a careful construction, designed for reliability and minimizing interference. It consists of 40 cores, divided into 20 pairs, each of them shielded with foil. The cores are made of stranded copper, which ensures flexibility and facilitates assembly. An additional common shield with foil protects against the influence of electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing a stable signal transmission. The outer sheath made of PVC provides mechanical and chemical resistance.

The RE-2Y(ST)Yv cable with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² finds application in various installations:

The cable has an outer diameter of approximately 21.5 mm and is supplied in black color. The operating voltage is 300V, which must be taken into account when designing electrical installations – it is not suitable for high-current or power supply installations! The resistance of the conductors for a 0.75 mm² core is a maximum of 24.6 Ohm/km.
