This shielded PE/PVC cable RE-2Y(ST)Yv is designed for digital data transmission and in control systems. The construction of polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) ensures durability and resistance to environmental conditions. The cable is particularly recommended for installation in places exposed to moisture, both indoors and outdoors, as well as for laying underground.
Construction and properties ensuring performance
The cable is characterized by a construction of 8x2x0.5 mm², which means 16 conductors arranged in 8 twisted pairs. Each pair is shielded with foil, minimizing electromagnetic interference and ensuring a stable signal. Multi-wire conductors of class 2 guarantee flexibility and facilitate assembly. In addition, the cable has a common foil screen, which increases protection against interference.
It is worth noting the operating temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C for fixed installation and from -5°C to +50°C during flexible operation. This means that the cable will perform in a wide range of applications, even in difficult conditions. Fire reaction class Eca provides additional installation safety.
