High-temperature silicone wire – reliability in harsh conditions
This single-core silicone wire is a solution for demanding applications where standard wires fail. Designed to operate in extreme temperatures, it performs well where other materials lose their properties. Made of copper, covered with a flexible silicone insulation, it provides a reliable electrical connection even in the most demanding industrial conditions. This wire finds application in industries such as metallurgy, steelworks, aviation, shipyards, as well as in the cement and ceramic industries.
Construction and properties
The wire is characterized by a flexible, stranded copper conductor class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228), which ensures high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. Silicone insulation guarantees resistance to high temperatures – both in continuous operation (up to +180°C), and short-term temperature increases. The rated voltage is 300/500V, and the conductor cross-section is 1.5 mm², making it suitable for many applications. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 3 mm. Additionally, the wire is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire and limits the emission of toxic gases – it meets the IEC 60332-1-2 standard.
