Silicone cable for demanding applications

This brown single-core cable with silicone insulation is a solution for installations exposed to extreme temperatures and harsh working conditions. Construction and properties

The cable is made of copper, ensuring excellent electrical conductivity. The flexible stranded wire class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228) guarantees easy installation and high resistance to bending. The silicone insulation provides not only resistance to high temperatures (up to +180°C in stationary and flexible operation) but also chemical resistance to oils, greases, acids, alkalis and many other substances. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free, increasing safety in case of fire – it meets the IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding fire behavior. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500V, and the test voltage is 2000V.

Application in industry and beyond

The silicone cable finds wide application in many branches of industry: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. Halogen-free properties also make it suitable for installations in power plants. Thanks to its flexibility and resistance to extreme temperatures, it works perfectly in heating devices, industrial furnaces and everywhere else where standard cables fail. The minimum bending radius is 15x the cable diameter in flexible operation and 6x the diameter for fixed laying. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 2.7 mm.
