Special application silicone cable

This single-core silicone cable is designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions, both low and very high. Its construction and materials ensure reliability in demanding industrial applications. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to external factors.

This cable finds application in many industries, such as metallurgy, steelworks, aerospace, shipyards, cement and ceramic industries. The halogen-free construction also makes it suitable for installation in power plants, where fire safety is crucial.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of a flexible class 5 stranded copper conductor, which provides good flexibility and ease of installation. The conductor is insulated with silicone, which is responsible for resistance to high temperatures – both in stationary operation (up to +180°C) and flexible operation (up to +180°C). The rated voltage of the cable is 300/500 V. The outer diameter is approximately 5.5 mm for a cross-section of 6 mm².

It is worth paying attention to a few key features:

• Wide operating temperature range: from -60°C to +180°C (stationary) and from -25°C to +180°C (flexible).
• Halogen-free: meets the standards DIN VDE 0482-754-1/DIN EN 60754-1/IEC 60754-1, which increases fire safety.
• Chemical resistance: resistant to oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, dilute acids and alkalis, and many other chemicals.
• Flexibility: facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces.
• Flame retardancy: meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 regarding vertical flame propagation.

The minimum bending radius is 15x the cable diameter in flexible operation and 6x the diameter in fixed installation. The cable has a test voltage of 2000 V and a breakdown voltage of at least 5000 V.
