Silicone cable for extreme conditions
This 25-core HELUTHERM SiHF 25G1 cable is a specialized solution designed for applications requiring high thermal resistance and flexibility. Made of silicone, it ensures reliable operation over a wide temperature range, from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C). This cable is particularly recommended for installations in places exposed to extreme conditions, such as power plants, metallurgy, shipbuilding industry or cement plants.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a multi-strand, flexible construction of copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), which ensures easy installation and adaptation to various applications. Silicone insulation guarantees not only resistance to high and low temperatures, but also good dielectric properties. The cores are colored according to DIN VDE 0293-308 (colored up to 5 cores, black with white numbering above 6 cores), which facilitates identification. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective core (from 3 cores). The outer jacket made of silicone provides additional mechanical and chemical protection.
Application and benefits
The HELUTHERM SiHF 25G1 cable is used in electrical installations requiring high flexibility and temperature resistance. It is ideal where standard cables fail - in heavy industry, in heating devices or in applications exposed to contact with chemicals. Its halogen-free construction increases safety, minimizing the risk of toxic gases in the event of a fire (compliant with VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-2 / IEC 60754-2). Additionally, the cable is resistant to radiation and many oils, greases and chemicals. The nominal core cross-section is 1 mm², and the rated voltage U/U0 is 500V/300V respectively. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 18 mm.
