Silicone cable for extreme conditions
HELUTHERM SiHF 2x0.5 mm² cable is a flexible cable with silicone insulation, designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C). Its construction and materials ensure reliable operation even in the most demanding industrial environments. This cable is particularly recommended for applications where standard wiring fails due to high temperature or extreme chemical conditions.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a multi-strand, twisted copper conductor construction, which provides high flexibility. The silicone insulation guarantees resistance to high temperatures, chemicals, oils and radiation. The conductors are color-coded according to DIN VDE 0293-308 (brown and blue for 2x0.5 mm² cross-section), which facilitates identification during installation. The outer diameter of the cable is 5.6 mm. It should be noted that despite its high thermal resistance, this cable has limited mechanical strength – therefore, its proper protection against damage is important.
