Silicone cable, high temperature resistant acc. to UL/CSA SiHF UL/CSA 10G2,5 mm² black, conductor identification acc. to DIN VDE 0293-308 23260
Product Features
- High quality
- Silicone cable for extreme conditions
This multi-core silicone cable is designed to operate in demanding environments where standard cabling fails. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures, making it an ideal choice for industrial, energy and aerospace applications. This cable complies with UL Style 4476 and CSA AWM II A/B standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability.
Construction and Properties
The cable is made of tinned copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228), which ensures good conductivity and flexibility. The core insulation is made of silicone, and the outer jacket is also made of silicone, providing resistance to chemicals, UV radiation and weather conditions. The cores are twisted longitudinally for better protection against mechanical damage. Core identification is done using colors according to DIN VDE 0293-308 – black or colored with white numbering. The protective conductor is yellow-green (from 3 cores and more). The cable has 10 cores with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², which allows for transmitting sufficient power in various applications. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 17.2 mm.
Applications and Benefits
This cable finds application in a wide range of industries: power plants, steel industry, aerospace, shipbuilding, metallurgy (ceramics, glass, cement plants). Thanks to its high flexibility, it is ideal as a flexible connection cable in places exposed to movement or vibration. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free (compliant with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1), which increases fire safety. It is also resistant to many oils, greases, solvents and chemicals. In the event of a fire, the silicone coating leaves behind a layer of SiO2, which does not spread flames (compliant with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 / CSA FT1). The operating temperature range is from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C) and from -50°C to +150°C according to UL/CSA standards. The rated voltage U is 500V.
