Silicone cable for extreme conditions
This two-core silicone cable, with a cross-section of 16mm², is designed to operate in demanding environments where standard cabling fails. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures, making it an ideal choice for industrial and specialized applications. The cable meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of multi-strand copper conductors (class 5), providing flexibility and ease of installation. The insulation of the conductors and the outer jacket are made of silicone, which ensures temperature resistance in the range of -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C). Additionally, the material is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire – during combustion it leaves only a layer of SiO2. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 20.9 mm.
The cable has conductor marking according to DIN VDE 0293-308 – black or colored with white numbering (in the two-core version brown and blue). The conductors are longitudinally twisted for increased flexibility. The rated voltage U is 500V, and the test voltage is 2000V. Insulation resistance is at least 200 MOhm x km.
