Silicone cable for extreme conditions
This 5-core silicone cable, with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², is designed for applications requiring high thermal resistance and flexibility. It meets UL/CSA standards, guaranteeing its reliability and safety in demanding industrial environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to temperature - both high and low - and is halogen-free, making it suitable for use in power plants and other critical installations.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of tinned copper conductors, class 5 (flexible stranded), which provides high flexibility and resistance to bending. The core insulation is made of silicone, and the outer jacket is also made of silicone, which further increases resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemicals. The cores are twisted longitudinally, and the protective conductor (yellow-green) is present from 3 cores upwards. Core marking is done in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308 - black or colored with white numbering (in the case of the two-core version, brown and blue). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 9.4 mm.
Applications and benefits
This cable is widely used in industry: steel, aviation, shipbuilding, metallurgical (ceramics, glass, cement plants) and in power plants. Thanks to its flexibility, it is ideal as a flexible connection cable. Additionally:

- Halogen-free: Compliance with DIN VDE 0482 part 267/DIN EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1 standards ensures safe use and minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.
- Flame retardancy: The cable meets DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 and CSA FT1 standards - does not spread flames.
- Good dielectric properties: Ensure reliable operation even at high voltages (up to 500V).
- Radiation resistance: Up to 20x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 20 Mrad).
